These Terms of Service set out the rules for using Quiz129, a student quiz and certification platform for learners in Class 1 to Class 10 in India. By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully, and if a student is a minor, please read them together with a parent, guardian or school.

Acceptance of these terms

When you register for or use Quiz129, you accept these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use the platform. These terms apply to students, teachers and schools alike.

Eligibility

Quiz129 is designed for school students, many of whom are minors. If you are a minor, you may use Quiz129 only with the involvement and consent of a parent, guardian or school.

• Parents, guardians and schools are responsible for supervising the accounts of students in their care.
• By allowing a student to use Quiz129, the supervising adult or school confirms they have the authority to accept these terms on the student's behalf.
• Teachers and schools must ensure they have the right to enrol the students they add.

Your account & security

You are responsible for keeping your account safe.

• Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
• Keep your password confidential; passwords are stored only as secure hashes, and we will never ask you for your password.
• Do not share your account or let others sign in as you, and sign out on shared or public devices.
• Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.

You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.

Acceptable use

To keep Quiz129 safe, fair and useful for everyone, you agree not to:

• Cheat, use unfair aids, or manipulate quizzes, scores, ratings or certificates.
• Scrape, copy, harvest or extract content or data using bots or automated tools.
• Disrupt, overload, probe or attempt to break the platform's security.
• Harass, abuse, impersonate or harm other users.
• Create fake or duplicate accounts, or play in championships as anything other than a genuine, single participant.
• Use the platform for any unlawful purpose or in breach of these terms.

Fair play is essential in championships and competitive features. Breaking these rules may lead to disqualification, loss of prizes, or suspension.

Quizzes, certificates & verification

Quiz129 lets you take quizzes, track progress, and earn certificates that can be verified as genuine.

• Certificates are issued based on your own honest performance and may be withdrawn if they were obtained through cheating or error.
• Certificate verification confirms authenticity and may display limited details (such as the holder's name and the achievement).
• We may update quiz content, scoring and certificate formats to improve quality and accuracy.

Premium, payments & refunds

Some features are available through Premium membership or paid entries.

• Prices, plans and what each plan includes are shown on the relevant pages before you pay.
• Payments are handled by our payment partners. We do not store your full card details.
• Premium benefits apply for the period of your membership; renewing extends your membership.
• Refunds, where offered, follow the refund terms shown at the point of purchase and applicable law. Some paid entries (for example, after a championship has started) may be non-refundable.

Championships, prizes & payouts

Championships are competitive events that may be free or paid, with prizes for top performers.

• Only genuine players may take part. Multiple accounts, collusion, automation or other unfair play are prohibited.
• Results are based on the rules and format published for each championship.
• Prize payouts are made via UPI to the eligible winner, using the payout details you provide.
• We may withhold or reverse prizes where we reasonably believe the rules were broken, where details are invalid, or where required by law.

Intellectual property & user content

The Quiz129 platform, its design, software, quizzes and other content are protected by intellectual property rights and belong to Quiz129 or its licensors. You may use them only as allowed by these terms.

If you submit content (for example, quizzes created by a teacher, or profile information), you keep your rights in it, but you grant Quiz129 a licence to host, display and use that content to operate and improve the service. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to submit it and that it does not break the law or these terms.

Disclaimers

Quiz129 is an educational tool intended to support learning. It is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Quiz129 and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for loss of data, profits or opportunities, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the platform. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Suspension & termination

You may stop using Quiz129 at any time and request deletion of your account. We may suspend or terminate access if you break these terms, if it is needed to protect users or the platform, or as required by law. On termination, your right to use the platform ends, while sections that by their nature should survive (such as intellectual property and liability) continue to apply.

Governing law & grievance

These terms and any disputes relating to them are governed by the laws of India, and you agree to the jurisdiction of the courts in India. We handle personal data in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. If you have a grievance, please raise it through our contact page, and we will work to resolve it within a reasonable time.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will update the date shown above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continuing to use Quiz129 after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
